For every good dating advice there, you can be sure that there is a HUGE “Don’t” corresponding to it. What are these don’ts? If you don’t have even the slightest idea, then you should read on. You may NOT know it BUT it could be the reason why you are NOT getting any worthwhile dates despite being a member of that online dating site of your choice:

1st – Do NOT ask her how much she weighs, what her vital statistics are, and the like. It’s much better telling her that you are only after her body and only wants to sleep with her without caring or taking interest on her personality. Believe it or NOT, that’s what she is going to think once you ask her this.

2nd – Do NOT email or chat up with her – asking why she hasn’t responded to your previous mail. For one thing, women get way more email than men do. You need to be patient and take your time. Not to mention constantly doing this makes you look needy, clingy, and unconfident. Instead of bombarding her with such emails, be confident and assume that she is going to reply to you.

3rd – Do NOT ask her how many dates she had been with people from the online dating site you are in. It doesn’t really matter how many dates she has been through. What matters is that you find out whether the two of you are compatible – if you both click when you hang out together or NOT.

4th – Forget about sending her nasty and not so friendly emails when she doesn’t respond to you after several ones. It’s her choice if she replies to you or NOT. If she doesn’t want to meet up with you, there’s no point in being angry and nasty. That’s another sign that you are being needy – begging or better yet demanding for attention. Think about it – there are plenty of other girls out there. Why NOT look for those who would reply to you rather than to those who wouldn’t? That’s more productive no matter how you look it.

5th – Don’t even think about asking her to have sex with you on your second email exchange. And no, sending her dirty pictures of you won’t get her hot at all. Women are NOT just looking for physical connection, they are also looking for mental and emotional links. Well, you may be looking for a quick fling, you can find women who are after the same, BUT more often than not you will just offend someone else.

6th – When you get a phone number from a girl, do NOT wait for a week before you call her. BUT do not get giddy and call her just seconds after you got her number (you will come off as too eager and a little clingy). However, do call her on the same day. Get this, if you wait for a week before calling and she doesn’t respond back or she acts too cold, don’t be surprised. Women have truckloads of options online. When she gives you her phone number, that means she wants to have a good chit chat with you. Calling that day keeps the momentum going.

7th – Do NOT feel offended if she doesn’t want to talk to you on the phone yet or if she wants to talk to you through email first just to get to know you. Be open minded, flexible, and considerate concerning her suggestions. After all, finding a date is serious stuff and you need to test the waters first. No need to rush, you may need to exchange emails back and forth. There are times, though, that you would get a phone number right away. Whatever the case, just don’t be rude and don’t rush things.

8th – Do NOT stalk her by bombarding her with emails. I’ve heard a lot of women complaining about men who can do nothing better than email them like 10 times a week – forcing them to block emails from these guys. Don’t think that she didn’t get your email because, believe me, she did. It may be her choice not to open and you shouldn’t force matters. Sending her several emails a day would only turn her off, or worse, freak her out.

If you have been in one of the most popular online dating sites for a couple of months now, have been dating someone for a couple of times now, and you can’t seem to get to the next level, get this – there is something wrong with you. Chances are, you are making one of the online dating habits that make you look unconfident and needy. Believe me, many are guilty of the following habits. And if you don’t have even the slightest idea what they are, then it’s about time to read on and get rid of them right away:

1. So you got to date one of your online buddies? Yeah? Good for you! However, is this scenario familiar to you? After walking your date to her door at the end of the day, instead of having the confidence to kiss her, you only asked her if she had a great time. Now asking itself isn’t wrong, BUT it simply shows you don’t have what it takes to take charge of the situation. You see, women are attracted to confident men. They hate having to tell you if they had a good time – they want men who are confident and secure enough in themselves to assume that they did have a great time.

2. Have you called one of your online dates last night? Yeah? Let me guess – she hasn’t replied to any of your messages, phone calls, emails, and everything in between so you call, text, or email her YET AGAIN to ask her if she got your message. This is perfect – if you want to get her running for the hills away from you that is. Doing that simply shows that your world revolves around her, that you are needy and you don’t have anything going for yourself – no friends to hang out with, no job to take care of, none whatsoever!

3. You text a woman or email her through her online dating profile 5 to 6 times a day. Guess what – you are over texting her! Take it easy, you don’t need to check her out and message her every two hours or so. It’s a huge sign of neediness – that you are clingy. And believe me, that is a HUGE turn off.

4. Does this sound familiar to you? You missed a phone call on your cell phone. And according to the registry, it’s from a phone number that you don’t know. Next, you call the woman you were dating and whom you just talked to a couple of minutes ago. And you ask: “Did you just call me?” I hate to say it BUT this sort of behavior is going to scare her away. A big NO NO if you want to be successful in online dating.

5. Here’s another one – you agree with everything that she says. That may seem insignificant to you, BUT get this – women are NOT looking for the man who doesn’t have balls and simply agrees with everything they say. Women want a man who is challenging enough and is NOT afraid to disagree with what they say. They want men whom they can learn something from, and they won’t learn anything from someone who just nods their head in agreement. Along with hat, you are telling her in an indirect wat that you will do everything to have a relationship with her – another huge sign of being needy.

6. You are too available. Another BIG no no. If you made plans with your friends, stick with it and keep it. Even if that hot cutie asks you to do something that night with her, stick with the plan and have a great time with your friends. Don’t be a convenience store – don’t be 7-Eleven – convenient, ready, and available ’round the clock and all week ’round.

7. You do everything you can to please a woman all the time. Guess what – that’s boring. True, I feel good when I do nice things for women, BUT don’t just give it away. She has to earn it. There are men who will let women to walk over them and they will be like a sponge and allow her to do it again and again. That’s a surefire way to make her lose respect for you and dump you when they find someone who has enough guts and balls to call on them when they are doing something foul.

Planning to find a date online? Want to join one of the more popular online dating sites? Yeah? If that is the case, then you need the following 5 reminders if you want to save yourself from the heartbreaks, emotional traps, and pitfalls that are lying along the way. Without further adieu, let’s take a closer look:

Reminder 1
When you are finding a date online and reading through the different profiles, do NOT believe everything you see or read. Some may be true, BUT trust me, many of them are outright lies. If one person – he or she, sounds too good to be true – has a great paying job, has a lot of friends, attractive, in simpler terms the complete package, then most likely you have encountered a bad and rotten egg. When you meet people through online dating sites, take your time to get to know them. Better check their stories for discrepancies. Once you get to the point where they reveal personal stuff, you can always verify the details. If they claim to work for a local community, study at this or that college, etc. check if it’s true. Public record is a valuable resource.

Reminder 2
Remember the old saying – “If you can’t say anything nice (or at least makes sense), don’t say anything at all.” YES, that old adage applies even to online dating. You see, people feel invincible when they are in chat rooms. People get irresponsible for their actions. When the fingers start typing or keying in words, things move REALLY fast and it won’t be long before things get out of control and the chat rooms turns to a virtual UFC octagon. Before saying something, stop and listen. If you can’t and won’t say it to a total stranger point blank or face to face, then better not say it at all.

Reminder 3
Always be available. Are you having a hard time accessing your online dating profile? So you don’t have access to the World Wide Web ’round the clock? If that’s the case, then you could hurt your chances. This could cause problems in the online dating world. People – online daters, are trying this method of socialization for many reasons. And one of them is to get quick responses. If you can’t keep up, they will move on, chat with, and date someone else. Don’t get me wrong though. That doesn’t mean you have to confine yourself in the four corners of your room and chat there all day and all night. Online dating is no substitute in real life socialization. Here’s a tip, why don’t you set a specific time aside from the online dating chat rooms, respond to emails in a timely fashion, and do what you have to do? That would surely help.

Reminder 4
Your safety always comes first, second, and third. If you are going to walk away from this article with just one piece of advice, make it this one. Once you have gathered the confidence to met with someone face to face, keep in mind that you don’t know what awaits, you don’t know what you are expecting. Here are some tips to make your first meet up a safe one – meet in a public place. If possible, drive your own car. This will help you greatly in maintaining control of your environment, not to mention with your own car, you can leave if you feel uncomfortable. Even if your first date leads to a second, third, or fourth, remember: you have just met. No need to rush things and take it to an intimate and steamy level.

So you are a college student? Yeah? Can’t seem to find a way to balance your studies, extra curricular activities, hanging out with friends, and online dating? Well, you have hit gold – I’m going to out line tips and tactics that college students can use to increase their success in online dating without sacrificing other aspects of their lives. Go grab a pen and notebook and start jotting down notes. Class is in session!

Tip 1 – Stick of brief BUT effective headline that creates a huge impact and very well relates to you. Headlines like – “Single and looking for YOU!” are acceptable, BUT they must be stomped. If you want your headline to have a lot of punching power, don’t stick to what is acceptable. For one thing, such headlines don’t tell anything about you, your personalities, and the activities you love engaging in. And think about it – people know that you are on a dating site because you are single and looking for a potential partner. Instead, look for something creative that would set you apart from the competition, headlines that will make someone curious enough to look twice.

Tip 2 – Your profile should very well tie in your headline. In your headline try asking some questions or leave open ended statements, and in your profile answer it. Let’s say your headline asks – “What’s New?” your profile, the first sentence of it, could say something like you have started college, everything changed for the better, found your own place, landed a nice paying job, so on and so forth. From there, you could post pictures, videos, etc. showing it.

Tip 3 – As mentioned earlier, you need to post pictures relating to what you are doing in your life. Emphasize the activities that you are interested in, your hobbies, interests, etc. that you want to have in common with a potential date through pictures and images. Are you someone who is into customizing cars, sports, night life, and everything else in between? Yeah? Then post pictures conveying those interests. Using seasonally applicable photographs is also of great importance. For example, if it’s summer, post pictures of what you do during summer. Use a picture that is clear and current as your primary photo. First impressions will make or break you, and getting the right photo will give you an edge over the competition.

Tip 4 – Jot down the activities you are currently in. Are you a member of the chess club, have you been in tournaments? Are you representing your college or university in different competitions? Say so and better yet, as told earlier, post pictures showing you engaging in those activities. Doing so will paint a better and clearer picture of how your time is spent. Here’s an even better suggestion – tell a couple of things and activities you would want to do with the person you met – sky diving, watching movies, going to different places, don’t be shy and state it.

Tip 5 – Instead of focusing on what you don’t want in a person and in a relationship, put emphasis on what you want. Statements like – “I hate gamers” “I hate party goers” and the like are to be avoided. Such statements are negative and the person reading on the other side of the World Wide Web will think that your life has a tendency of being surrounded with drama. And that is something they definitely want to avoid. Instead, say something like “I love people who are fun to be with, sensitive in a nice way, easy going, BUT responsible.” That has a much better chances of getting the responses that you desire.

Tip 6 – Your profile’s large paragraphs should be divided into shorter ones – ones that have no more than three sentences. As a college student, I’m pretty sure you often skim the reading and studying material for your next class because they are in large and long blocks of texts. Even though you need that material to fare well in the lesson later that day, you get bored with it, skip it, and your brain never processes it. You see, by using short paragraphs that highlight important topics and areas about your life, your readers will have a better time remembering what you just said.

What pictures should I upload? What should I say in my online dating site profile? Would telling them how I successful I am cut it – or should I be discreet about it? I bet these are just some of the questions lingering at the back of your head as you try to figure out how to build the perfect online dating site profile. And it’s perfectly understandable. After all, your profile represents you. If your profile is boring, if it sucks BIG time, then it creates the wrong first impressions. On the other hand, if your profile conveys you to be someone mature, confident. humorous, successful, etc., women will flock to you and may even message you! And right here, we will take a closer look at 2 simple BUT very effective tips to create the perfect dating site profile. Here they are:

Photos
As for the pictures and images on your dating site profile, they should be clear, up close, and taken recently. It’s pretty obvious why – that’s why you put pictures there in the first place! You want people to see you, see how you look like. By the way, when posting pictures on your profile, keep in mind that women need to see your eyes. As we all know, the eyes are the windows to one’s soul. It’s really crucial that you are not wearing sunglasses, at least in most of your photos. Along with that, it is also crucial that you show your fact and body – giving your viewers a concrete idea of how you look like overall.

Show through your pictures your different sides. You can put up a picture of you in business attire. You can have one that shows you playing a sport that you love. Or you could upload an image of yours where you are cuddling your dog or any pet. Try posting pictures that show you participating in different activities like hiking, chess, playing tennis, swimming, and those are just to name a few.

Keep this in mind, a picture can make or break a good profile. Your pictures should also create emotions. Don’t make the mistake of filling your profile with pictures showing you and your friends having a drinking spree with beer spilled all over the place. That’s a great way to make you look alcoholic (in their eyes that is). I’m pretty sure you have other interests than alcohol consumption. Why NOT post it?! True, women want men who are fun and social. BUT at the same time, they want men who can have a great time with them – not just with their friends and with alcohol. Post a picture where you are biking in Italy. What about you on an Asian tour – showing your adventurous side? I think that should cut it. Putting pictures showing you in different life situations is a MUST!

Honesty Is The Best Policy
YES, even in online dating site profile, this applies. You should be honest in your profile – whatever you say, whatever pictures you post, etc. make sure they are all true. I’ve seen countless men tweak their pictures, give the truth a little twist, etc. – and major problems occur after they have gone out on a date with a woman they like. Believe me, after that first date, a woman will go back to your profile, re-read everything, and see if there are any discrepancies. Trust me, after a woman finds one, your chances of going out again with her or finding another good date will be greatly diminished. Make sure that everything you write in your profile represents who you are right NOW! Your online dating site profile has been designed to give women a better idea of who you are and to get them excited to meet you. YES, with online dating profiles, women form opinions and impressions about you. It is not designed to decieve other people which many guys are doing.

That’s about it. Take your time and create the best possible online dating site profile that you can!
