Chat-N-Tickle FAQ Page
Why is my name the only name on the list?
If you see only your own name on the list "Select a person to call", everything is working.
You are the only user currently waiting for a call.
Other users may be engaged in a chat or have closed the program.
Leave the program open and a doorbell will ring when new people arrive.
If you want to see more names on the list, please enter good ratings/comments at CNet, Freeware and ZDNet sites.

The Recent User list will show the last 30 users and what time they left.
Why don't people call me?
With some ISP's and firewalls your line is always busy when people try to call you.
Try calling people instead of waiting for them to call you.
Read the help about firewalls.
Why don't people answer my calls?
If no one else is online but you, you can call only yourself but the line will be busy *grin*.
Some people are waiting for a special call so they won't answer you.
Maybe there is something about your name that people just hang up when you call.
English speaking people might not answer a foreign language name.
If you call someone who is using a firewall, their line will be busy all the time. No one can call them, but they can call you.
What about privacy?
You computer will contact the Chat-N-Tickle server in Texas about twice per minute while you are viewing the user list.
This contact is necessary to update the list. Once you connect with someone or close the program, your name is removed from the list and there is nothing more sent to the server.
When chatting, your computer is direct-connected to your partner's computer without any server in the middle.
Chat-N-Tickle does not install any spyware, advertising programs or cookies.
Nothing is added to your Windows registry. Nothing starts up until you manually run the program.
Everything closes down when you close the program.
What are the system requirements?
Chat-N-Tickle works with any version of Windows.
The use of speakers, mic, cam and vibrating mouse is optional.
Even a slow-speed dial-up connection is sufficient.
The use of firewalls and proxy servers may bother some features.
Refer to Help File for help with firewalls.
This thing sucks because i don't have a web cam and u have to have a web cam!!!!!!
The use of speakers, mic, cam and vibrating mouse is optional.
You don't need to have any of these things!!!!
It works fine without any of these things.
No matter how I pull up the Recent Users List, I cannot doubleclick the name to call someone. You have to wait til they pop up on your screen before you can call anyone.
The recent users list is for information only. It does not do anything,
but show what time people last used CnT. Many of the names on this list have been gone for hours.
There is no way you can call them from the Recent Users List.
Pay attention to the "Time" shown on this list and compare it to the local time show on the list title.
The names that pop up on your screen are the people who are currently running the program.
These people are available for chat.

How do I enter my Nickname?
I am surprised how many people ask this question. It is very simple.
Move your mouse until the mouse cursor (the white arrow) is over the box "Enter Name Here".
Next press the button once on the left side of your mouse (use your index finger).
Now erase the old name by pressing your backspace key and/or your delete key (use any finger).
Press these keys several times until the old name (entire line) is gone.
The backspace key is the one with a left pointing arrow, located on the keyboard (the thing you type on).
Similarily, the delete key is the one with tiny letters "Delete".
Once you erase the old name, you can enter your Nickname and message by typing onto that same keyboard.
For example, when you press the letter "D" on your keyboard the lower case letter "d" will appear on your screen.
If you want the upper case capital letter "D", hold the large key named "Shift" down with your thumb while you press the letter "D" on the keyboard.
Just keep typing until your entire name is completely shown on the screen.
It might take a minute or so before your newly typed name is refreshed onto the active list.
